First Robotics
Team Sprocket
I got my start in engineering through FIRST Robotics, where I spent countless late nights turning sketches into working robots with an amazing group of teammates. Over time I became our fabrication lead, teaching newer members the basics of machining how to safely use mills, lathes, and hand tools to bring ideas to life. I loved seeing their excitement the first time a part they made actually fit and worked.

I also pitched in wherever the team needed me: helping design mechanisms for drivetrains and arms, and even stepping out of the shop to serve as a referee and judge at competitions. Those roles taught me how to stay calm and fair under pressure while still keeping the energy and fun of an event alive.

FIRST didn’t just build my technical skills it showed me how much I enjoy mentoring and collaborating. That mix of hands-on engineering and helping others is still a big part of who I am today.
